STEVEN ADAMS (Executive Producer)

Founder and head of Alta Entertainment, an artist-driven management and Production Company.  Adams guides both production and postproduction companies under the Alta Entertainment umbrella.

With Luna Ray Films he produced the Peabody Award winner A Huey P. Newton Story directed by Spike Lee in association with Starz/Encore. Huey was adapted from client Roger Guenveur Smith’s Obie Award Winning solo performance. Other Luna Ray Films credits include God’s Waiting List and Justice.

Television credits include The Culture Clash Show and Dead Souls that was distributed by Universal with a later broadcast on NBC/Universal’s Chiller Network, now in 40 million US homes. Under the Christai Productions banner, Adams served as co-producer with Executive Producer Justin Lin (“Fast and Furious”) on the web series Drone starring client Lance Reddick.

Adams began his career in entertainment at The Paradigm Talent and Literary Agency, which represents the careers of an elite roster of actors, musical artists, directors, writers and producers.  He later joined Landmark Artists Management where he worked with veteran talent manager Helen Sugland.

Adams is a frequent public speaker and is a member of the Producers Guild of America.

Adams worked with world-renowned Paris based visual effects house BUF. In the role of VFX Executive Producer he marketed their work to the US Studio system landing such films as Marvel Studio’s THOR , James Cameron’s AvatarGreen Lantern,Green Hornet, Stephen Somers’ Odd Thomas, Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows, and Ang Lee’s Life of Pi  to name a few.

He recently wrapped a contract with VFX & Animation house Digital District which has offices in Paris, Belgium and Shanghai.

With FilmPro Finance Events and Conferences, ADAMS produces entertainment finance events, consulting for film finance-based clients, including Bloomberg/Cite and it’s predecessor Atlas on the International Film & TV Finance Summit,  Film Production Capital and various international film commissions and festivals at events presented during Cannes, Toronto, AFM and Sundance.   He is currently producing a web based Film Finance series based on the upcoming non-fiction book: Show Me The F$#!king Money: How to Invest, Raise Finance and Recoup Money in the Film Business, which will launch at Cannes 2014.
