Sabina Akhmedova joined Moscow’s Institute of Modern Arts when she was 16-years-old and studied with members of the legendary Moscow Art Theatre. After graduation she performed in dramatic plays and musicals, such as “Hair” and “Jesus Christ Superstar”.

Her passion for the craft earned her respect and recognition in her home country where she starred in numerous films and television shows. Sabina rose to fame in MTV’s comedy “The Club”, where she played a series regular role for six seasons. This led to her most acclaimed role to date, Lana, in “Diversant.The end of the War”, the show that received a ”Golden Eagle” in 2007.

Sabina continued her studies at the Lee Strasberg Institute in Los Angeles. While studying she participated in several theatre productions, such as Shakespeare’s “King Lear” (as Goneril) at the Marilyn Monroe Theatre and did a reading of Chekov’s “Three sisters” at the legendary Actors Studio for its famous creative director Al Pacino.

Sabina recently starred in a Russian version of “Sex and the City” and can be next seen in the independent feature “The Ninth Cloud” where she is co-starring with Michael Madsen.

The year 2012 brought her a supporting role in the Italian drama “I Calcianti” which is due to be released in theaters in 2014. In 2012 Sabina received the N-Style Royal People Award as The Actress of the Year. In 2013 she got her first series regular role on American television. She played an Israeli soldier on NBC’s show “Siberia”. And in 2014 she will also appear in a new show “The Red Road” on Sundance Channel.

The complexity of life and human beings always fascinated her. Besides acting Sabina also studied philosophy and psychology. She believes that acting is someway similar to the work of a humanitarian and that by touching people’s hearts thru artistry, she’s making her little contribution.
